Colleen Millen, LMFT

Colleen Millen (pronouns she/her) is inspired by two careers – therapy and yoga teaching. In both, she organizes around values of consent, agency, inclusivity and accessibility. As a licensed marriage and family therapist in the state of California (#109436), she leads mindfulness groups for teens and helps teens and adults around issues that relate to emotional regulation, anxiety, depression and developmental trauma. She is a certified Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction for Teens (MBSR-T) instructor and certified Neuro-Affective Relation Model (NARM™) therapist.

Colleen is currently a yoga therapist-in-training with Optimal State Yoga Therapy School under the mentorship of certified yoga therapist Becky Deano, LPC, E-RYT-500, C-IAYT. Optimal State is an American yoga teaching school in which core trainers are in continual education and mentorship with Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India.

Through this process, we will explore together where your personal strengths and agency lie to create support for your intentions and hopes. I will offer a consent and trauma-informed holding space for your journey of self discovery and growth.
