Dr. Karen Ni, MD

Dr. Karen Ni is a licensed and board-certified adult psychiatrist. She treats depression, bipolar disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, social phobia, insomnia, obsessive compulsive disorders, post-traumatic stress, attention deficit and hyperactivity disorder, and psychotic disorders. She takes an approach that can include behavioral changes, psychotherapy, education, alternative supplementation, and medication. She enjoys getting to know her patients and collaborating with them in their care.

In 2007, Dr. Ni graduated from the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine and completed her psychiatry residency at University of Washington, Seattle in 2011. Since then, most of her professional work has focused on outpatient psychiatry. But has also worked in a geriatric inpatient unit and general adult acute behavioral health unit. She spent a few years working for the US foreign service overseas as a regional medical officer. In 2018, Dr. Ni made the move to Kodiak, Alaska.
